LiDAR Tracker
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a technology that uses lasers to detect and record elevation data across large areas. It is useful for flood risk assessment, among other land management purposes.
In addition to the LiDAR map provided by the Province of Manitoba, the RRBC has collaborated with Strategic Systems Engineering to create comprehensive guides and application examples for use by Red River Basin municipalities and First Nations.

RRBC, Province of Manitoba and the partnering municipalities, are excited to share that final LiDAR data has been collected, along with re-flying the Red River corridor!
To accompany the LiDAR data, we have released a series of videos on our
YouTube Channel and an accompanying "Introduction to LiDAR" Manual.
No prior experience is required to use the resources.
Our resources are open to everyone, but developed for Municipal and First Nation staff,
to learn a basic capacity of LiDAR, how to use it and how it can benefit your community.
